SUPER-G (Cannonball Lector) Friday the 17th of September, 2010, another night time Super-G is coming the clubs way if you deer. Racing against the clock on one of the clubs far out the back trails "Cannonball Lector". Transport to the top provided, park in the Tait Rd carpark with the up-lift departing around 7'ish, with riders starting their assault on the course at 7.30ish.                           We run at a cruzy pace in my neck 'o the woods :)   Same offering as before - BBQ and beers after everyone has completed the course. 2011 Raboplus New Zealand MTB Cup Mountainbike NZ are pleased to announce the NZ MTB Cup and National MTB Championship schedule for the summer of 2011.      NZ MTB Cup, Cross Country       •  Round 1 Jan 9th - Tauranga       •  Round 2 Jan 16th - Napier       •  Round 3 Feb 13th - Nelson       •  Round 4 Feb 20th - Christchurch      NZ MTB Cup, Downhill       •  Round 1 Jan 7/8 - Tauranga       •  Round 2 Jan 14/15 - Napier       •  Round 3 Jan 22/23 - Rotorua       •  Round 4 Feb 5/6 - Nelson       •  Round 5 Feb 11/12 - Nelson       •  Round 6 Feb 18/19 - Christchurch      National Mountainbike Championships (UCI Cat CN)       •  Feb 24-27 - Dunedin      Oceania Mountainbike Championships (UCI Cat CC)       •  March 18-20 - Shepparton, Victoria, Australia   Hosts confirmed include a mix of well established venues having long histories of hosting events at this level, and new hosts who will utilise the opportunity MTBNZ’s events provide to boost their own event management capability, as well as showcasing their regions MTB facilities.   BikeNZ’s principal partner Raboplus will again have naming rights of the NZ MTB Cup and National MTB Championships, with associate sponsor Nature Valley also back on board for 2011. The New Zealand Community Trust also continues its long support of NZ mountainbiking’s premier competitive level national series next summer.   MTBNZ’s 2011 Event Coordinator Chris Mildon views the confirmed schedule as a great fit for the sport: “as a national series for NZ’s best mountainbike athletes there is no greater test than to measure yourself against your peers on quality race courses at the NZ MTB Cup and National Championships”. But these events aren’t only for elite athletes – “MTBNZ provides all age group categories from 13 year olds through to masters 50+, to compliment the pinnacle Elite class.
