Also Note - You do not have to attend the full 3 days if you're unable or don't wish to. You can just come for 1 or 2 days that suit you. So long as we know your intentions by Monday 10 August.
This years summit (conference) will be hosted by the Hawkes Bay MTB Club on 14 - 16 August, 2009 at Pukeora Estate, 208 Pukeora Scenic Rd, Waipukurau, located in the Central Hawkes Bay.
We encourage EVERY committee member of EVERY affiliated MTB Club in New Zealand to attend. By hearing some of the great things happening for MTB in NZ, we hope the summit will motivate and inspire your committee to get things really happening in your town, suburb or city.
Other groups with an interest in MTB such as BikeNZ, MTB event promoters and MTB tourist operators are also being invited to attend.
MTBNZ encourage clubs, where possible, to financially support their committee members to attend this summit.
In following years it is envisaged that the hosting of the annual summit will move around NZ, ideally alternating between the North & South Islands.
The venue is located 5 minutes drive out of Waipukurau on SH2, and is approx 1 hours drive from both the Palmerston North & Napier airports (a shuttle will be available to run you to the conference).
The Hawkes Bay MTB Club has ongoing trail development next door in the 50ha Pukeora Forest and the conference will allow time to explore the Pukeora Hill MTB Park, plus other local areas, so bring your bike & night lights !!!
